2. Have you ever smoked heroin? Umm? You smoke it? Don't you shoot it up your veins? Obviously, I have not.

3. Do you own a gun? I don't *own* one, but there *are* several in my home, which belong to the boy.

4. Wax or Shave your body parts? Shave

5. Do you get nervous before doctor appointments? Yes.

6 Real or fake nails? Real. Never had fake, never will.

7. Favourite Christmas song? I'm one of those rare people who *hates* Christmas music.

8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning? Coffee

9. Can you do push ups? Yes, I *can* ... but ... I dont think its a very pretty sight to see.

10. What's your favourite piece of jewelry? My engagement ring :-)

11. Favourite hobby? Photography (can it still be considered a hobby even when you're professional? Hmmm....), scrapping, reading, cooking, baking, shopping, walking....this is why I am always busy! Too much fun stuff!

12. Do you have A.D.D.? No, not that I am aware of. My fiance would probably say otherwise. I love being busy...him, on the other hand...likes to not be busy. Opposites oddly attact.

13. What's one trait that you hate about yourself? I am often negative. I don't try to be...I am aware of this trait and I am working on it. Really.

14. Middle Name? Marie ... soon to change to Marie Richards when I accquire Filip as my last name. Can't completely let go of my since forever last name...Richards.

15. Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment? I hate Facebook, I need to finish organizing the closet, and I need to run errands.

16. Name 3 drinks you regularly drink? Coffee...water....ummm.....Not a large assortment, eh? lol.

17. Current worry right now? Having enough money to get by thru student teaching which ='s no income.

18. Current hate right now? Ex's

19. Favourite place to be? First thought, Mexico/warm/beach ... but my second thought, just to be at home chilling on the couch with Chris.

20. How did you bring in the New Year? Dinner + drinks our with our friends Kate + Josh and possible Jacque + other Josh.

21. Like to run? I like the idea of doing it ...

22. Name three people who will read this? Michele, Alanna, & Toni ... I'm assuming

23. Do you own slippers? Yes, they double as snow shoveling boots

24. What colour shirt are you wearing? Lime green ... pj's top

25. Do you like sleeping on satin sheets? No.......dry feet + satin makes an icky noise. Ew.

26. Can you whistle? Just in... not out.

27. Favourite colour? Green.

28. Would you be a pirate? Maybe if we kept landing on beaches .... then, yes. But if there were no beachs involved and just ocean ... then no.

29. What songs do you sing in the shower? None - I sing very annoyingly to myself in the car.

32. What's in your pocket right now? No pockets on right now.

33. Last thing that made you laugh? The second book in the Twilight saga I'm reading right now ... the New Moon book. There are funny parts. (Duh, right? Which is why it made me laugh? HA!)

33. Best toy or collection as a kid? American Girl Dolls + accessories

34. Worst injury you've ever had? Umm...I've been lucky...I sprained my neck in kindergarten but I dont remember much pain ... more recently, popped out a joint in my back ... now THAT MY FRIENDS ....hurt like HELL.

35. Do you love where you live? I'm not loving the snow.

36. How many TV's do you have in your house? I think 2...?

37. Who is your loudest friend? They are not really loud.

38. How many pets do you have? In my home....1, combined with my mom's house....3

39. Does someone have a crush on you? Hopefully my fiance ;-)

40. What is your favourite book? I dont have just one.

41. What is your favourite lolly? Is this "lolly" word including all "candy/sweets" or just lollipops? Is this a Kiwi quiz? I will just answer both: candy/sweets: regular hershey's bars; lollipops: the ones that taste like a caramel apple.

42. Favourite Sports Team? I dont have one....

43. What were you doing at 6:00pm? Working on photos.

44. What was the first thing you thought of when you woke up? That was a wacky dream.

45. Worst habit? Making messes...unorganizing after I have just organized.

46. Do you play an instrument? No way. Totally uncoordinated.

47. How long does it take you to get to work? Ask me in about three weeks. I am not working, right now. Whoooot.

48. Plans for the weekend? None as of now.

49. If you could eat anything in the world right this second, what would it be? Burrito!

50. Do you like who sent this to you? Nobody sent this to me, I stole it, and yes! I like Ramona!!

{ TRASH the DRESS }

My first 'Trash the Dress' session! My friend Alanna never really got bridals on her wedding day, so she decided she wanted a little Trash the Dress session while she was here for Christmas! We were bound and determined to get this shoot in...

It was pouring rain today, and we were THISCLOSE to not doing the shoot. Then we decided, what the heck, and got out there and shot it! It was a challenge in the rain ... her awesome husband Joe held an umbrella over me the whole time so I could shoot these photos.

First we went to his parents.
Then we went to my dad's side.
And we ended with my mom's side.
Whew.
But still, a great day all around!

I stayed at my friend's house for dinner, and they were making sushi. I had never made it before and it was a fun time! We also made wontons and they were delish! I will definately be making those again!

{XMas Eve Day}

Chris got done early today from work and was able to get to my mom's just in time for our lunch ...


It was another snowy day....


The pooch was tired from all the Xmas excitement around Mom's house lately!

Day Off Projects

We Made Rosette Cookies

2 eggs
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Powdered Sugar

Combine eggs, sugar, and salt; beat well. Add remaining ingredients; beat until smooth. Heat rosette iron in deep, hot oil (350 to 375 F) for two minutes. Drain excess oil from iron; dip in batter to 1/4 inch from top of iron, then immediately into hot oil. Fry rosette until golden, 10 to 30 seconds. Lift out; tip upside down to drain. With fork, push rosette off iron onto rack placed over paper towels. Reheat iron 1 minute; make next rosette. If you have two rosette irons, reheat one while using the other. Stir batter from time to time as you will get some oil in it. Sprinkle rosettes with confectioner's sugar.



Side note .... I've been completely into spinach salads lately...doesn't this look YUM?

Holy Snow

All it has been doing here is SNOWING!
This was from this week...a crazy amount of snow!
Look how buried my car was!
And it just kept on snowing all week long.
Got around 6 inches again last night and "they" (who ever "they" is/are) are calling for even MORE snow in the next few days!

{ Merry X-Mas To Me }

Upgraded my 50mm 1.8 up to the 50mm 1.4 ...whoo hoo....
Now, question is, why didn't I do this LONG ago?
Was going back and forth between the 1.4 and 1.2 ....
I'll probably end up upgrading to the 1.2 by summertime, lol.
This'll do for now :-)
It's $1,000 less so it works for now! ;-)

{ Oh, Pomegranates! }

I love this time of year....Pomegranates are readily available and CHEAP! I looooove them, therefore, I looooove this time of year!

Pomegranate Ice Cream??? I wish I could find this!
