I've been wanting to frame a photo of Michele and I for awhile now, but never got around to it. I had this extra pic laying around, and was ina scrappy mood, so I decided to make this cute mini-layout instead to set somewhere instead of framing the photo. I think it turned out super cute! It's about 6 inches x 6 inches. And the wavy-ness of it is symbolic -- we took this pic standing in the Pacific Ocean! You can't really tell, but all those orange dots are jewels -- its so pretty and sparkley IRL!Friday, January 18, 2008

World's Easiest Cookies
So I've introduced you to the Worlds Easiest Cobbler, and now my friends, I will introduce you to...daaa...daaaa...ta-daaa:The World's Easiest Cookies
("cake cookies" in Utah)
Step 1: In mixing bowl, combine any cake mix, 2 eggs, and 1/3 cup oil.
Step 2: Spoon cookies on greased cookie sheet
Step 3: Bake for 10 minutes at 350*F
Add in 1/2 bag chocolate chips to batter, if you desire.
(Store in container, add a piece of bread to make these babies even softer.)
I've heard these are good:
Coconut cake mix
Chocolate cake mix w/chocolate chips
Chocolate cake mix w/mint choc chips
Lemon cake

{{ Fun New Pictures }}
This is what I call "Extreme Photo Overload"
My girl Alanna came home for Christmas again this year. She goes to school in Utah. I don't get to see her very much, so I am thankful she was able to be home for a little while again.
We could only get photos at two locations due to super cold and lighting conditions, but these were some FUN sites to shoot at...even if I couldn't feel my fingers! (Yeah, kept freaking myself out that I was going to drop my camera, so I said, "Hey guys! We gotta stop! Or we won't have a camera anymore!")
So here goes...
Found this amazing country road...yeah, sucks to get dumped with so much snow...but isn't it gorgeous? It was perfect for these photos!

This shot involved me trying to run on solid ice from the car to the girls without falling on my arse! I was using the 85 mm, so even though it doens't look like it, I did have to run pretty far in 10 seconds!
Just loved this one in general. Love using signs as props!
Let. It. SNOW!

Onto our other location....

Did I mention how weird it is to see photos of myself???

Yeah, started putting my copyright on the photos and then got sick of doing it...so ignore that. Haha!
So simple, yet she looks beautiful and at peace!
I adore this photo!
Again using odd props, this time someone else's feets :-)The END!

Happy 2008!
Celebrated the end of '07 and the beginning of '08 with my girls from high school! I went to a house party type of get together first, and then joined the girls at a bowling alley in another town! Fun times! Good to see my friend Sarah again! (in the blue). She has been in the army for awhile and I haven't seen her since graduation day of high school. Excuse her silly face, lol.
Hope your year is wonderful for you!

Bringing You...
Seriously. This is the best tasting cobbler I've ever had and it is the easiest to make! There are only three ingredients! I said three! All you need is white cake mix, 1 can pie filling (any flavor), and a stick of butter! Just preheat the oven to 350 degrees, pour the filling into a glass baking pan, sprinkle on the cake mix, and slice the butter and stick on on top...bake til golden brown. And then you're done! Enjoy!
So, so worth it! So, so delicious!
Sassafras Lass Layouts

My Day Today :-)
Mmmm...bananas and cereal! This little cutie is here and I get to spend the whole day with her. :-) She gets to watch me clean the house and organize my scrap room! Lucky her! LOL!
And here are some other recent photos. It's been awhile since I've had a good photo post!
Our faux Christmas Eve...the only day that worked out was the Saturday before Christmas. I was pretty bummed that it wasn't on our traditional Christmas Eve at my Grandma's house! Had to have it in Milwaukee at my aunts house, so the Christmas spirit was truely altered this year...next year hopefully we can get Christmas Eve back to normal! ;-) That's my brother Patrick, his fiancee Shannon, me, and my mom.

All the ladies in our family...We all have White Chocolate Peppermint Martinis in hand... just missing my cousin's wife...in the front is my cousin's gf, my cousin's fiancee (wedding this summer), my aunt...and in the back my mom, Shannon, me, and my Grandma.

A sweet shot of my pooch in front our tree :-)

And some pics from last night...three drinks in I decided it would be fun to take a picture with the lovely Nutcracker. LOL.

And here I will conclude with a photo of the picture of Jaelynn that was included with my friend's Christmas card this year! So cute!!

Merry Christmas Grandma!
Had a heck of a time figuring out how to make the tree stand out. The back flaps are moveable as well, even though they look like they're just stuck on here.
