{Frames...}

Not just for photos....

I like this idea to make wall/any-kind-of-other-artwork-display/decoration....using patterned paper or fabrics + pretty/colorful frames.

{Great Read}

"It turns out there was an ancient French custom of putting a scorched piece of bread in the bottom of wineglasses - back when wine still needed to be decanted because of all the heavy sediments. The toast would absorb all that residue. It would absorb what was misplaced so you could enjoy what it was you were meant to enoy. The French called this process 'toasted.' That was where the word came from."

{Reflect}

I used to read this quote all the time, think about it, but never make any change. Now that change has happened, I stumbled upon it randomly and thought I would share. Most people have already read it, but its a good reminder for all:

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,
So love the people who treat you right,
Forget about about the ones who don't,
And remember that everything to happen for a reason.
If you get a chance,
Take it.
If it changes your life,
Let it.
Nobody said it would be easy,
They just promised it would be worth it.

{MoreDecor}

More ideas I would love some day for our home:

Not sure if I like the idea collage or the chalkboard look better in the kitchen:

I love love this mirror! Hopefully I can find one similar to Pottery Barns, without the $700 price tag:

And then, of course these are classic. I would put photos on them:

{WishList}

I can't believe how quickly the Christmas season is approaching. In two months, the Holiday Madness will be over! I was at Kohl's today picking up some clothes for student teaching (I start Monday!) and I hopped on over to the home decor section ... and found some gems I would like for Christmas! (I'm broke, darn it!).

Now that Halloween is over, I'm all for moving on to winter! (Just the decor, lol, not the actual snow + cold part)!

First we have this snowflake candle holder, its actually pretty large, even though it looks small here. I'd say its about a foot tall:

The display at the store looked sooo nice. In the picture above, it looks a little chinsey and cheap, but it looked really good in-store. That one had a candle kind of like this inside, instead it was white. It had that shimmery snow look to it and was kinda mottled like this:

Then there were these cute little candle holders to match:

Then we have the silver snowflakes, again a little candle holder:

And I suppose these would match the little silver snowflakes, but they're cool all on their own too, for year round:

My Wedding Dress

Sorry for the bad image quality - but here it is!
It's strapless, the strings on there are just the hanger holders.
And obviously, its not blue at the bottom, thats just the shadow, lol.

I dont know if you can tell, but on, it has the same rouched/gathered look to it.

Simple, elegant.

Oh, and bonus - it fits *perfectly* - not one teeny tiny alteration has to be made!

Added for Jen to see....
